Wherever you travel across this land, you'll see that Chevy Silverado is on the job. Carrying the weight. Building the bridges. Working the family farms. And sometimes, just working to take a break from it all. Whether you need a pickup truck to haul a truckload of materials to a job site or simply haul it out of town for a weekend camping trip, you need a pickup that works for you — even when you're not working. That truck is the 2013 Silverado 1500, the long-lasting, dependable full-size pickup truck that fits your lifestyle.
TOWING AND HAULING
Control senses when a trailer starts to sway and automatically applies the truck’s brakes while reducing engine power. When necessary, this feature works to help get your truck back on track. Auto grade braking automatically downshifts the 6-speed automatic transmission to help slow the truck and preserve brake pads on long, steep descents. An available trailer brake controller is fully integrated with the antilock brake system (ABS). If you’re stopped on inclines greater than 5%, Hill Start Assist automatically kicks in to keep the truck in place for about a second to give you just enough time to accelerate before the truck can roll backward.
